Dr. Lisa Belisle is a mother, writer and physician who takes an integrative approach to health and wellness.
In addition to a residency in Family Medicine, and a fellowship in Preventive Medicine, Dr. Belisle completed a Master of Public Health, an Internship in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and training in medical acupuncture. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Vermont and is involved in teaching residents and medical students with the Family Practice Department at the Maine Medical Center. She currently serves as a medical advisor to the MaineHealth Learning Resource Centers and the statewide literacy program Raising Readers and the MaineHealth Employee Works on Wellness (WOW) Program. She writes regular columns for the Parent & Family newspaper and Maine's Switch newspaper. She practices integrative medicine and acupuncture in Maine, where she lives with her husband and three children.
